VFW PROJECT HONORS RELATIVES, FRIENDS

American flags flanking the road leading into the Wright City Cemetery is an impressive sight.  Each of the flags have been purchased and donated by area residents in honor or memory of a relative or friend.
The flags are displayed on Memorial Day weekend, Flag Day, Fourth of July, Labor Day and Veteran's Day. (weather permitting)

TRADITION for
over 25 YEARS

The Avenue of Flags was dedicated Memorial Day in 1997 with 26 flags. Today, volunteers place over 200 flags along the roads of the cemetery.
This project was started by members of the Les Singer memorial VFW Post 10687 and Ladies Auxiliary.
